Training with Peter
"Peter visits my mother often at her assisted living facility. He has earned her trust (which is so important for the elderly) and she will do as he instructs. He has been able to reduce the aches and pains she has because of the stretching techniques he uses and has been able to strengthen her muscles helping her to walk better. I cannot recommend them enough! Peter not only helped my mother to reduce pain, he also will fill in at her bridge game!"
Training one-on-one
"I am very glad that I found RenewMe Fitness. My goal is to get out of my wheelchair and walk independently again, and my trainer helps to keep me focused. My trainer is very knowledgeable, caring, kind and flexible. After 6 months of training, my flexibility, strength, breathing and walking have improved exponentially. I can see my goal of getting out of my wheelchair getting closer each day. Working with a Personal Trainer from RenewMe Fitness is one of the best decisions I ever made."
Training in Groups
"Small Group Training was terrific today! We were doing squats at the wooden rings. I didn’t think I’d ever be able to get all the way down cuz of my knees. But I did, using my upper body to help. I LOVE that we switch up exercises! I’m 65, just recovering from a broken ankle. The trainers are excellent; they know when to push and safety is of their utmost concern. I’m doing exercises I NEVER thought I’d be able to. I highly recommend Renew me Fitness."
“During the holidays I attended many events. I noticed that I was able to go up and down the stairs easier. My wife and son were surprised that they didn’t have to help me! Mina started stair training with weeks ago and now I can do several sets without stopping and have much less fear doing so!”

"I have been working with RenewMe Fitness for the past three years following a serious illness that left me temporarily paralyzed from the neck down. It took a full year to relearn how to walk.
The approach to training with Peter and RenewMe Fitness has been focused on recovering strength, stamina and balance so that I could return to doing the things that I enjoyed so much before my illness.
I could not be more pleased. I am back to traveling internationally for both work and pleasure; hiking in the Rocky Mountains and the Italian Alps; playing with my grandchildren; cooking and entertaining for large family groups; and thoroughly enjoying high energy levels and staying physically active.
I cannot emphasize enough how important the weekly training sessions have been to my full recovery and I would strongly recommend the team at RenewMe to others."

“Over the past 6 months I have enjoyed the personal training of Peter Francis. He has helped me strengthen my body after I was in an auto accident that broke my neck, requiring a fusion if my vertebrae from C-1 through C-6. I had extensive outpatient care, but needed home care to help toward the completion of my rehab. I googled around and came up with a find. Peter is dedicated to helping the elderly and he does it with a positive attitude –and a smile. I’m very impressed with his knowledge of the human body and what makes it work. He works with me twice a week -is always very punctual, and has his itinerary of work for the session well planned out. As I said– Peter was a “find.”

"Peter and I began working together as I recovered from an incomplete spinal cord injury that left me paralyzed from the neck down. Relearning how to walk, regain my ability to balance, understand where my limbs were in space, and trust in my ability to maneuver even simple things like stepping up and down from a curb have been major milestones that I’ve accomplished with Peter’s careful guidance. I am firmly convinced that without the in-depth knowledge of body mechanics, solid experience working with patients in physical rehabilitation settings, empathy, warm, caring manner and terrific sense of humor that Peter brought to every training session over the past 18 months, I would not have made the remarkable progress that I have. We’re even working on some jogging these days. It’s been a challenging recovery and Peter has — quite literally — been there every step of the way."

"I found Peter’s website. and was told that they’d be able to address my needs, and that they’d also be willing to work with me at the community center. Lauren was the trainer assigned to work with me. Primarily, she advised me that I also needed to work on my core and lower body, but in a manner that would safely accommodate my torn meniscus and an old foot injury. She provided me with multiple options to address a variety of muscle groups, including areas that I was already addressing. She included machines, free weights, dumbbells, cable-weight machines, and also equipment free exercises. She was extremely knowledgable in all of these modalities and always emphasized proper form and technique. I got exactly the help and guidance that I was looking for from a highly qualified personal trainer. I definitely recommend Lauren and RenewMe Fitness."

"Patrick had a stroke in March of this year, and needed intense therapy. Fortunately he was able to do many things such as speak, swallow, eat, and he had no paralysis. He was slated to participate in therapy. However, he suffered depression, and refused ALL THERAPY. He literally did not walk for 3 months, and would not cooperate in speech therapy.
At the end of September, Minh Truong entered the scene. At first, Patrick did not cooperate. Minh showed compassion and extreme patience with Patrick. Finally, Minh won Patrick's confidence, and he started to participate in physical therapy. NOW Patrick is walking, with and and without the walker. Amazing! He doesn't walk very far without walker, but he is able to do this. He refuses to use wheelchair unless absolutely necessary. He uses walker to get around. He is working on steps, and is able to do a few steps. Minh ordered a step apparatus which enables Patrick to slowly increase the height of steps. AGAIN, AMAZING! This progress is just since the end of September!

“Peter is particularly effective in that he is professional, kind, competent, and confident. He is also both modest and patient, taking the time to fully understand the nature of my condition, before-then tailoring the training accordingly. I was diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a condition in which the flow of cerebrospinal fluid is blocked, causing problems with memory, balance, gait, and concentration. After some initial physical therapy sessions, I began working with Peter in my home. My mobility was limited by my condition, so I found the home-visit option to be the best for me. Peter instills in me the necessary confidence with which to work toward my recovery. He provides encouragement without ever pushing too hard. Now I also attend the small group training sessions. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, my trainer collaborates with other staff members in order to provide the best treatment possible.”
