I have been overworking my poor body for at least 25 years, ending up in PT, which just annoys me. [My trainer] knows the older body and is helping me accept that my body is not 40 years old anymore, but still capable. He explains EVERYTHING, emphasizing its quality of movements, not how many. SO IMPORTANT! He has so motivated me [that I now walk] the dreaded hill in my neighborhood to get in much-needed cardio, and I have pulmonary fibrosis, arthritis, and recovering from a broken ankle. The trainers at RenewMe Fitness are excellent; they know when to push and safety is of their utmost concern. I’m doing exercises I NEVER thought I’d be able to. The best yet, I spent a day with my 8-month-old grandson. I was up and down and up and down the floor, up and down the stairs, and having the greatest time playing with him.

Over the past few years, I have enjoyed the personal training of [RenewMe Fitness]. They helped me strengthen my body after I was in an auto accident that broke my neck, requiring a fusion of my vertebrae from C-1 through C-6. I had extensive outpatient care but needed home care to help toward the completion of my rehab. I googled around and came up with a find. [My trainer] is dedicated to helping the elderly and he does it with a positive attitude – and a smile. I’m very impressed with his knowledge of the human body and what makes it work. He works with me twice a week - is always very punctual, and has his itinerary of work for the session well planned out. As I said - [RenewMe Fitness] was a “find.”

[RenewMe Fitness] trains my 90-year-old mother at her assisted living facility. [Her trainer] has earned her trust (which is so important for the elderly) and she will do as he instructs. He has been able to reduce the aches and pains she has because of the stretching techniques he uses and has been able to strengthen her muscles helping her to walk better. I cannot recommend them enough! [Her trainer] not only helped my mother to reduce pain, he also will fill in at her bridge game!

My husband Patrick had a stroke in March of 2018 and needed intense therapy. He was slated to participate in physical therapy. However, he suffered depression and refused ALL THERAPY. He literally did not walk for 3 months, and would not cooperate in any therapy. He was then sent to an assisted living facility, and the staff suggested we try RenewMe Fitness, a private group for in-home fitness. At this point, we were desperate to get him to do anything. At first, Patrick did not cooperate. [His trainer] showed compassion and extreme patience with Patrick. Finally, he won Patrick's confidence, and he started to participate in the exercise. Three months later Patrick started walking, with and without the walker. Amazing! He refuses to use a wheelchair unless absolutely necessary. RenewMe Fitness ordered a step apparatus that enables Patrick to slowly increase the height of steps. Eventually, he was able to go up and down steps again. Again, AMAZING! After thinking Patrick would be living at the assisted living facility for the rest of his life, he finally progressed to where he was safe and able-bodied enough to move back home, where he lived for the last year of his life. This was such a blessing for us and our family. I attribute this to RenewMe Fitness and its dedication to Patrick’s physical and emotional health. They never gave up on Patrick, and their good heart and compassion clearly worked miracles. I would recommend RenewMe Fitness to anyone in need. They are the best!

I began working with RenewMe Fitness as I recovered from an incomplete spinal cord injury that left me paralyzed from the neck down. Relearning how to walk, regaining my ability to balance, understanding where my limbs were in space, and trusting in my ability to maneuver even simple things like stepping up and down from a curb have been major milestones that I’ve accomplished with [my trainer’s] careful guidance. I am firmly convinced that without the in-depth knowledge of body mechanics, solid experience working with patients in physical rehabilitation settings, empathy, warm, caring manner, and a terrific sense of humor that [my trainer brings] to every training session over the past [few years], I would not have made the remarkable progress that I have. I am back to traveling internationally for both work and pleasure; hiking in the Rocky Mountains and the Italian Alps; playing with my grandchildren; cooking and entertaining for large family groups, thoroughly enjoying high energy levels, and staying physically active. The return to an active lifestyle, full participation in my family and professional life, and being "the old me" have been incredible outcomes of a lot of hard work under the guidance of [my trainer] and RenewMe Fitness. It’s been a challenging recovery and [RenewMe Fitness] has — quite literally — been there every step of the way.

I am very glad that I found RenewMe Fitness. My goal is to get out of my wheelchair and walk independently again, and my trainer helps to keep me focused. My trainer is very knowledgeable, caring, kind, and flexible. After 6 months of training, my flexibility, strength, breathing, and walking have improved exponentially. I can see my goal of getting out of my wheelchair getting closer each day. Working with a Personal Trainer from RenewMe Fitness is one of the best decisions I ever made.

During the holidays I attended many events. I noticed that I was able to go up and down the stairs easier. My wife and son were surprised that they didn’t have to help me! I started stair training weeks ago and now I can do several sets without stopping and have much less fear doing so!

[My trainer] is particularly effective in that he is professional, kind, competent, and confident. He is also both modest and patient, taking the time to fully understand the nature of my condition, before then tailoring the training accordingly. I was diagnosed with [a condition that affects] memory, balance, gait, and concentration. After some initial physical therapy sessions, I began working with [RenewMe Fitness] in my home. My mobility was limited by my condition, so I found the in-home visit option to be the best for me. [My trainer] instills in me the necessary confidence with which to work toward my recovery. He provides encouragement without ever pushing too hard. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, my trainer collaborates with other staff members [and medical professionals] in order to provide the best care possible.

[Our trainer's] workouts have become a valuable part of [my husband's] life. It’s important to note that this is not just a question of leading him through a set sequence of predictable exercises. Her rapport with him and her careful observation over time means that she is able to make a quick assessment of how he is doing on a given day and adjust the workout accordingly. At the same time, she encourages him to do a bit more than he thinks he can, with consistent success. There are of course recurring elements in the workouts but she provides a lot of variety, challenging him mentally as well as physically. He always looks forward to their sessions, which are beneficial in maintaining not only his physical condition but also his morale.

I really want to express my appreciation to [my trainer] for the work that she's been doing with me the last few months a couple of times a week. It's been really very helpful in just keeping the tone of my muscles, and working on my balance for example. I am able to get around during the day and in the evening with the help of my trusty walker. I have the confidence to go out to dinner and can also get in and out of a chair without help from others. I have problems with my eyes and my knees especially, which can be hard to overcome. All of the information that she shared with me about how you can accomplish tasks, even you know I am pretty elderly in age, and I just can't be too grateful because having been so active physically when I was younger it really just kills me and to lose the ability to move around and be mobile and not be cooped up here. It is nice to coop up, but it's not that nice so anyway thank you!

Ever since Fran started doing this exercise, she pops up off of the couch so much quicker! And even though she complains of being tired at first, I see how energetic she becomes working out!

[RenewMe Fitness] has been great for my 85-year-old mom. [Her trainer] challenges my mom and supports her to maintain strength, mobility and confidence. She patiently takes the time to listen to what my mom needs during a session and also encourages my mom to work towards the goal of staying as strong as she can for as long as she can. Thanks [RenewMe Fitness] for taking good care of mom.

I sought help from many sources to relieve my hip and back pain, but not until finding RenewMe Fitness did I actually see improvement. [My trainer] has been on my fitness journey with me for almost a year. She is extremely knowledgeable about how the body works and how each type of equipment or exercise discipline strengthens and maximizes my movement. She consistently keeps our workouts fresh and interesting while always being mindful of areas where I need to get stronger as well as working around my physical limitations. I have learned the correct way for me to walk, lift and twist without further injury and I can participate in virtually any physical activity I want to without pain. When presented with new injuries or challenges my body is going through she does the research and consults with her colleagues to adapt my workouts in a healthy way. [My trainer’s] perky attitude and seemingly endless reserve of exercises have been what I need to keep at it, relieve my pain and really see results. Every session brings new surprises for how strong my body is and what it can do. Learning what MY body can and should do has been life-changing.

My mother was in her 90's when I first contacted [RenewMe Fitness]. My mother was having a lot of problems with her balance. Her Primary Care Physician had prescribed therapy - twice. The Medicare "routine" was a complete waste of time. After 6-8 weeks they will tell you "There is nothing more we can do." Translated, this means that Medicare WILL NOT PAY for any further treatments. [RenewMe Fitness and their staff] were the CONSUMMATE CARING PROFESSIONAL. [The RenewMe Fitness] initial assessment of my mother took almost 90 minutes. I was VERY IMPRESSED with how thorough he was. They took the time to set my mother up with an "age-specific" routine and he made sure that the Trainer was a "good fit" for my mother. During the time my mother was working with RenewMe Fitness her balance improved dramatically - she never fell during this time. On a scale of 1 - 10, I would rate [RenewMe Fitness] a 12.

I am so grateful to [my trainer] for his thorough knowledge of anatomy, his efficiency, patience and skills in assisting me to learn how to best take care of my back and leg problems. I have become stronger, more informed, and am able to make better decisions due to his determination and ability to teach me techniques for self-care. [My trainer] was always the consummate professional, polite, flexible, and thoughtful.

Thanks to RenewMe Fitness, I no longer experience low back pain. I lived with back pain for over ten years and tried many approaches to resolve it, all unsuccessful. [My trainer] taught me new ways to strengthen my core and encouraged me to live a more active lifestyle. After training with [RenewMe Fitness], I'm able to enjoy things I did a decade ago, like hiking, biking, traveling, and living life pain-free.
